Binary Accreditation Framework

NAAC - A Step-by-Step Guide for SSR Preparation and Self-Evaluation (NAAC Framework)

Outcome: The result is a simple "Accredited" or "Not Accredited" status, replacing previous grading system.

Purpose: This system is primarily for institutions seeking accreditation for the first time or those focusing on meeting minimum foundational quality standards. It encourages wider participation in the accreditation process.

Evaluation: The assessment is more objective, relying heavily on AI-driven digital data verification (DVV) and compliance with specific, quantifiable metrics (moving towards 10 key attributes). It minimizes physical peer team visits, though some form of validation remains.

Validity: The accreditation status is typically valid for two years.

Maturity-Based Graded Level (MBGL) Accreditation

Outcome: This applies to institutions that have already achieved "Accredited" status and wish to demonstrate continuous improvement and excellence. Institutions are assigned a maturity level from 1 to 5.

Levels of Maturity:

Level 1: Emerging Institutions

Level 2: Establishing Institutions

Level 3: Developing institutions

Level 4: National excellence institution

Level 5: Global Excellence institutions

Evaluation: The MBGL framework emphasizes learning outcomes, educational effectiveness, and data-backed improvements, rewarding institutions that demonstrate measurable progress beyond compliance.

NBA End-to-End Mentorship

Manual CO-PO mapping errors: Inaccuracies in mapping Course Outcomes (COs) to Program Outcomes (POs).

Faculty overwhelmed: Difficulty and excessive workload associated with manual attainment calculations.

Last-minute SAR chaos: Disorganization and rush to prepare the mandatory Self-Assessment Report (SAR) documentation.

Uncertainty about Tier-I requirements: Lack of clarity on the specific norms for Tier-I institutions (e.g., autonomous colleges, IITs, NITs).

Our

Solution

NBA-approved OBE framework design: Establishing a structure based on Outcomes-Based Education (OBE), which is a key requirement for NBA accreditation.

Auto-attainment calculations with heatmaps: Automated calculation of CO and PO attainment levels, visualized with heatmaps for easy analysis and identification of gaps.

100% compliant SAR reports: Ensuring all documentation for the Self-Assessment Report adheres to the specific criteria and formats required by the NBA.

Dedicated NBA coordinator: Providing a specific point of contact or expert to guide the institution through the entire accreditation process.
